An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Italian One-Panel Movie Poster (measures approximately 39" x 55") (Learn More) I Vitelloni (released in the U.S. in 1957 under the racier title "Federico Fellini's The Young & the Passionate [Vitelloni]"), the 1953 Federico Fellini Italian/French romantic melodrama ("A daring story of uninhibited youth!"; "Adult Entertainment!"; "Federico's Fellini's Masterpiece of Sensuous Realism"; "a film by Federico Fellini - master of sensuous realism"; "WINNER!... Of the Grand Prize, Venice Film Festival"; about five men in a small Italian town bored with life; the title loosely translates to "bored young men", which summed up many of the post-World War II generation of young Italian men, who had little ambition and just drifted through life) starring Franco Interlenghi, Franco Fabrizi, Alberto Sordi, Leopoldo Trieste, Riccardo Fellini (brother of the director, and an actor and director himself), Leonora Ruffo, Lida Baarowa, Arlette Sauvage, Vira Silenti, Naja Nipora, Jean Brochard, Claude Farell, Carlo Romano, Enrico Viarisio, Paola Borboni, and Silvio Bagolini NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Enrico De Seta Important Added Info: Note that this is a rare "country of origin" poster for this Italian movie! Also note that this Italian one-panel measures approximately 39" x 55" and is linenbacked. Condition: very good. The poster had small paper loss at the crossfolds. It had creases, tiny tears, and a few very tiny areas of paper loss on the foldlines. There was some writing on the back of the center of the poster which slightly bled through in the shoulder of the girl, near the center of the poster. There was a 3" x 1 1/2" semi-circular area of paper loss in the middle of the right blank border (only blank white paper was affected). There were pinholes, creases, some small tears, and small areas of paper loss around the edges of the poster. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but the restorer did not touch up the slight bleed through on the girl's shoulder (it is not very noticeable, and any talented restorer could touch up that area without re-backing the poster).
