An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded German Movie Poster (measures 34" x 48 1/4" [86 x 123 cm]) (Learn More) Gefahrlicher Fruhling (literally translates to "Dangerous Spring"), the 1943 Hans Deppe German romantic melodrama starring Olga Tschechowa, Winnie Markus, Siegfried Breuer, Paul Dahlke, and Fritz Wagner. It appears this movie was never released in the U.S. Olga Tschechowa was a Russian-born (in what is now Armenia) actress from the 1910s to the 1940s. She left Russia during the 1917 revolution, settling in Berlin. She dated several Nazi officials in the 1930s, and was even a personal friend of Adolf Hitler, though eventually she was investigated by both the SS and Soviet agents during World War II (WWII). Some of her movies include: Moulin Rouge, Mary (in the title role), and Melusine. Olga passed away in 1980 at the age of 82. We could find no other information about this movie other than what we list above. If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Georg Tscherepoff Important Added Info: Note that movie paper from this film is incredibly rare. We have never auctioned even a single movie paper item from this movie (other than a German program) until we were consigned this poster (which is a "country of origin" poster for this German movie!). It was printed in Germany during World War II. There are very few German movie posters from during World War II in existence (because of the massive paper shortages in Germany during World War II), and most of those few are in museums. It is likely that German posters from during the Nazi era are even more rare than those from before that era, because most of those that survived the war would have been destroyed right after the war! Condition: good to very good. The top quarter of the vertical fold is separated and there is some border wear. But this incredibly rare poster has likely survived in about as good condition as one could have hoped! Learn More about condition grades
