An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 25 3/4" x 40" [65 x 102 cm]) (Learn More) Our Little Girl, the 1935 John S. Robertson family relationship juvenile musical melodrama ("From the story 'Heaven's Gate' by Florence Leighton Pflazgraf") starring Shirley Temple, Rosemary Ames, Joel McCrea, Lyle Talbot, Erin O'Brien-Moore, and Warren Hymer (he did not make it into the final print of the movie, because, for unknown reasons, his scenes were re-filmed by J. Farrell MacDonald, although his image is on at least one lobby card!). NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we can't say for certain, but we think it is extremely likely that the wonderful art of the poster is by Joseph A. Maturo. Mr. Maturo did other art on this movie, and he also did most of the Shirley temple posters in the mid-1930s, plus this poster looks very much like his work. If anyone know for sure either way please e-mail us and we will post it here. Also note that this is an extremely rare poster. We have never auctioned one in all our years of auctioning, and while we have auctioned a few jumbo and regular window cards, lobby cards, stills and some smaller items, we have auctioned NO other movie posters for this title whatsoever! Note also that this one-sheet has been trimmed and now measures 25 3/4" x 40" [65 x 102 cm]. Condition: good. The poster's blank borders were trimmed off. It is very fortunate that all the very small printing at the bottom was within the image background, so it is a certainty that only blank white paper was trimmed off. There is water staining in the bottom 6-8" of the poster and a few stains scattered in the rest of the poster. It has many tiny pinholes around the edges. Someone once put three small pieces of tape on the back of a 2" vertical tear in the left bottom border but otherwise did not restoration. Certainly the poster has real defects, but they are the sort that respond well to restoration, and the blank borders can be expertly replaced and after proper restoration the poster will display really well and likely require little paint restoration. But bear in mind all of the above and look closely at our super-sized image before bidding. Learn More about condition grades
