King silent romantic love triangle melodrama (a wild story of a Wall Street mogul who goes broke, and he gets his daughter to marry a very rich creep even though she had a boyfriend, and the boyfriend is lost at sea, and is picked up by the honeymooning couple, and the rich man is told that the baby his wife is expecting is actually the boyfriend's, and he beats her, causing her to miscarry, and she leaves him, and when he learns the truth, he wants her back, but she won't return, and he ends up getting killed, which allows his widow to marry her boyfriend) starring Grace Darling, Rod LaRocque, Anders Randolf, Nita Naldi, and James Cooley NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we can't say for certain that this poster is from the 1922 re-release of the above movie. We know for certain that that 1920 movie was re-released in 1922 under this title, because we have seen a U.S. poster from that re-release. But this poster has no credits on it, and it says "Fox Entertainments" at the bottom, and this was not a Fox movie (although it could have been distributed in Australia by Fox. It has a printing company at the bottom that we have seen on other 1922 Australian daybills. The "SAT JULY 4" at the top corresponds to 1925, but of course, this daybill could have been first released in Australia in 1922, or it could have been reused three years later, and that added then. So there is evidence both ways on this! If anyone knows more about this daybill, please e-mail us and we will post it here. But please do not bid on this poster unless you can accept these uncertainties. Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good to very good. There are many small tears and a few small stains around the edges. There is small paper loss in the background near the middle of the bottom fold, and there are some creases, scuffs, and a semi-circular tear in that area. There are some creases and light folds scattered in the poster. In spite of these defects, the poster will display well as it is, or certainly, it would be a simple restoration job for a talented linenbacker. Learn More about condition grades
