Reckless... Violent!"; "Forever ...Irresistibly Spellbound!"; "Irresistible their love! Inescapable their fears!"; "The Maddest Love that ever possessed a woman"; "These two together to hold you"; "Screenplay by Ben Hecht"; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award; a strange story of an amnesiac in a hospital who is discovered to be posing as a doctor, but when the doctor is found dead, a female psychiatrist, who has fallen in love with him, tries to find out who he really is and who really killed the doctor; the surreal dream sequences in this movie were designed by Salvador Dali!) starring Ingrid Bergman (billed as "Ingrid Bergman's First Picture since winning the Academy Award"; as a psychiatrist!), Gregory Peck, Michael Chekhov (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film), Leo G. Carroll, Donald Curtis, Rhonda Fleming (in her first real role, as a nymphomaniac!), Norman Lloyd, John Emery, Regis Toomey, Addison Richards, and Art Baker. Note that Rhonda Fleming was just 22 and had not had any real parts before being cast in this movie. But when she learned she was a "nymphomaniac", she said "I didn't even know what a nymphomaniac was. My mother and I had to look it up in the dictionary."! Important Added Info: Note that we have only ONCE before auctioned a complete set of lobby cards for this Alfred Hitchcock thriller (five years ago and the set sold for $2,544!). Condition: good to very good. The title card has tiny pinholes along portions of the blank borders and some light scuffs at upper center. There are some tiny dot stains in Bergman's image at right and there is a smudge in her first name at left (see our image). The card pictured below the title card (the close-up scene) has two tack holes at upper center with some faint smudges, and some scuffs in Peck's hair at left. There are tiny dot stains in the lower center blank border. The card with the skiing scene has some very minor blank border defects and the card below that has a pair of staple holes in the upper left blank corner and minor blank border defects. The card pictured at upper left in our second image (with Peck and Bergman in front of the train ticket booth) has some minor scuffs and tiny pinholes in the borders. The card pictured to its right has smudges on back but the front is in pretty nice condition. The hospital scene card has several defects on the front, light rippling and paint writing on the back (it was used as a sign and is in lesser condition than the other cards). The last card has some pinholes at upper center and a tear at lower right that has been repaired with tape from the back. The cards are otherwise in generally nice condition and they have no other tape whatsoever on the front or back, and they never have had any restoration of any kind! Learn More about condition grades
