An Original Vintage Theatrical Autographed Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Annapolis Salute, the 1937 Christy Cabanne Maryland romantic love triangle military U.S. Naval Academy United States Navy melodrama (about best friends who are Naval cadets, and they are both rivals for the hand of the daughter of the commandant of the academy) starring James Ellison, Marsha Hunt, Harry Carey Sr., Van Heflin (in his fourth movie ever!), Arthur Lake, and Ann Hovey. Note that one of the two best friends is played by Van Heflin. Most people do not realize he had significant roles in the 1930s, because they think of him as a 1940s or 1950s actor! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this lobby card has been personally autographed (signed) by Marsha Hunt! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Note that our consignor purchased a collection of autographed lobby cards that were collected by Leonard Sorgi, who was a unit manager for ABC for shows like The Soupy Sales Show, The Jerry Mahoney Show, and many others. He was also Unit Manager for the Academy Awards for a number of years, and during his long and varied career, he met many celebrities and obtained autographs from them in person (often personalized to him). In the past, we have auctioned many signed stills from Mr. Sorgi's amazing collection, and just a few lobby cards, but in this set of auctions, we are auctioning 156 signed lobby cards, all at one time (we are also auctioning some more signed stills from the same collection)! Our consignor (and we) feel certain that the autograph on this card is authentic! This is a wonderful opportunity to purchase many great signed lobby cards. Condition: good to very good.
