An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded English Personality Poster (measures 22" x 28" [56 x 71 cm]) (Learn More) Maureen O'Hara was an Irish actress from the 1930s to the 2000s. Her first major success was in 1939's The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and she was a major star of the 1940s (known for her long association with John Ford and John Wayne), and she aged wonderfully, being able to play the virginal sister in The Quiet Man in 1952! In 1948 she opened a store in Los Angeles called "Maureen O'Hara Seasonal Clothes", where she used her celebrity to help her gain sales, but she continued acting into the 1960s, and retired in 1971. She was lured out of retirement for a wonderful performance in Only the Lonely in 1991, but she then returned to her retirement. Some of her other movies include: How Green Was My Valley, Rio Grande, Miracle on 34th Street, Parent Trap, and Jamaica Inn. She passed away in 2015 at the age of 95. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster is undated (and it was never folded), but it is English, so I would think it is likely not from during World War II, because so little English paper was printed at that time. But judging by O'Hara's image, I would think she was pretty young at this time, so the poster may well date from around 1939, when she had great prominence from her role in "The Hunchback of Notre Dame". If anyone knows more about this poster, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Condition: very good. The poster was never folded. It has creases, faint smudges, tiny stains, and a few small tears around the edges, and just a few creases scattered in the image. Otherwise, the poster is in pretty nice condition!
