An Original Vintage Unfolded World War I Poster (measures 29 3/4" x 40" [76 x 102 cm]) (Learn More) I Summon you to Comradeship in the Red Cross, the 1918 U.S. World War I (WWI) Home Front poster quoting President Woodrow Wilson and encouraging citizens to join the American Red Cross. Note that this poster features wonderful Harrison C. Fisher art of a woman clutching the American flag in front of the U.S. Capitol Building! Artist: Harrison C. Fisher Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare poster. We have never auctioned one in all our years of auctioning! Note that this is one of seventeen wonderful World War I posters we were consigned, which we are auctioning in separate auctions. All of them are extremely fragile and in urgent need of restoration, but all of them CAN be "rescued", and after proper restoration they will display wonderfully (and many of them are incredibly rare). Please read our condition description below and look at our super-sized image before bidding on any of these great posters! Condition: good. There are many light stains along portions of the edges with tears and areas of paper loss in the right border, more so in the top and bottom. The poster is lightly rippled through the center. This is the kind of poster that responds really well to restoration! It is likely that many or most of the stains can be removed chemically, and after proper restoration the poster will look fantastic, but bear in mind the poster's condition and the cost of restoration before bidding on it.
