An Unfolded Special Poster (measures 19 1/2" x 29 3/4" [50 x 76 cm]) (Learn More) Make Our American Red Cross In Peace as in War, the 1919 charity recruiting poster ("'The Greatest Mother in the World'"; "Third Red Cross Roll Call") promoting a members roll call to be held from November 2nd to the 11th, and featuring art of a Red Cross worker holding a man on a stretcher. Obviously, this poster was created right after World War I (WWI) by The Red Cross, reminding people that there was still a great need for their organization, even though the war had ended If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: good to very good. The poster was never folded. It has creases and tiny tears along portions of some edges with a slightly larger tear at lower center, and there is small paper loss and a tear at upper center. Most of the tears are backed with conservation tape. There is a small crease just above the woman's hat that slightly cuts through the paper. It has a few faint smudges at bottom but otherwise the poster is in pretty nice condition, and after linenbacking it should display well. Learn More about condition grades
