An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Pressbook (pb; measures 11" x 17" [28 x 43 cm]; 14 pages). Also included is a herald that has 3 pages. (Learn More) Big Brown Eyes, the 1936 Raoul Walsh romantic crime murder jewel thief mystery thriller (a complicated story of a manicurist-turned-newspaper-reporter involved with a police detective investigating a jewel robbery, and there is also a private detective who is actually a thief after the jewels, and after much mayhem and murder, everything works out) starring Cary Grant, Joan Bennett, Walter Pidgeon, Lloyd Nolan, Alan Baxter, Marjorie Gateson, Isabel Jewell, and Douglas Fowley. Note that original release poster material from this movie is incredibly rare! In all our years of auctioning, we have never had even one poster (but we have had the pressbook, so we now know what the posters look like!) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that when studios would prepare pressbooks they would often include a sample of the herald. Most often, the herald is no longer still with the pressbook. Sometimes, the herald by itself will sell for almost as much as the rest of the entire pressbook! This pressbook contains the original herald that was included with it, and it is pictured next to the pressbook below. Also note that we have provided an image of the front and back covers of this pressbook, and of course, the winner of this auction will receive the entire single pressbook we are auctioning (plus any supplements or heralds described above)! Also note that this pressbook is complete and uncut! Given that theater owners purchased pressbooks partly in order to create their newspaper advertising, and quite frequently cut them up for that purpose, it is rare to find a pressbook that IS complete and uncut! Condition: good, NO CUTS. There is paper loss in the top right corner of all pages and a large stamp over Bennett's face on the front cover.
