An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Title Lobby Card (LC TC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) The Swift Shadow, the 1927 Jerome Storm silent German Shepherd K-9 canine police dog crime action cowboy western ("From an original Story by Ethel Hill"; produced by Joseph P. Kennedy) starring Ranger the Dog (in the title role as Swift Shadow), Lorraine Eason, William Bertram, Sam Nelson, Albert J. Smith, and Milburn Morante. Note that Ranger the Dog first appeared in 1926's "Flashing Fangs" and appeared in ten more movies over the next three years! If anyone knows more about Ranger the Dog, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Also note that producer Joseph P. Kennedy was of course the father of Joe, John, Bobby, and Teddy Kennedy, and had a well publicized love affair with Gloria Swanson for many years. Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that first release 1927 movie paper from this movie is incredibly rare. We have only auctioned two scene lobby cards from this movie (and no posters) until we received this title lobby card! We previously auctioned this title card, but it has now been reconsigned to us, so it is still the only example of this wonderful lobby card we have ever auctioned. Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: good to very good. There are creases, faint stains, smudges, and a few small tears in the borders, with a few faint smudges scattered in the solid yellow areas. Other than the above border defects, the card is in pretty nice condition. Note that this lobby card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back!
