An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded One-Sheet Movie Poster (28" x 41") (Learn More) Mein Kampf - My Crimes (released in the U.S. in 1941 as "After Mein Kampf?"), the 1940 Norman Lee English World War II (WWII) Nazi military documentary ("WANTED FOR MURDER Adolf Schicklgruber, Alias Hitler"; "Wanted for murder; arson; grand larceny; possession of fire-arms; piracy; treachery; religious persecution. Shoot on sight!"; "DESCRIPTION - Age 53 in 1942; Height, Five feet, seven inches; weight 150-165; hair black shaggy locks hang over forehead; eyes, black, have demented gaze; complexion, sallow; football mustache; eleven hairs on each side; foppish dresser, but has marked devotion to brown shirts and old trench-coat."; "PARTICULARS - This man has tendency to become hysterical on slight provocation, has been known to throw himself on floor and gnaw rugs; guttural voice apt to rise to shrill tones when excited or thwarted. He has delusions, particularly about his place in history and his powers over vast numbers of people, He is sadistic, malicious, bombastic, vengeful, mystical, maniacal, addicted to public hysteria on 'race purity,' suffers from dreams of persecution. He is a congenital liar. He has worked at only one known trade - house painting."; "RECORD - He has served one term in prison, and has a police record of inciting to riot in various cities."; "This man is dangerous, will attack without warning; he is always surrounded by armed thugs and expert gunmen."; "If captured, dead or alive, the reward will be freedom for the entire world and peace for all nations."; "The picture Hitler fears!") starring Robert Beatty, Herbert Lom, Peter Ustinov, Olaf Olsen, and George Woodbridge. Note that there was a 1961 film that used "After Mein Kampf" as the title, and it was likely a combination of newsreel footage from this 1940 film (posters for the 1961 film even "borrow" the art of Hitler's head seen on some posters for the 1940 film), new re-enactments by actors, and additional newsreel footage of concentration camps from when the Allies liberated the camps in Poland and Germany. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster was designed like all of the many "wanted" posters that were commonplace in the 1930s and 1940s. The poster makes little reference to the fact that it is actually for a movie, except for the single tagline "See the picture Hitler fears". Also note that this one-sheet measures 28" x 41". Please do not bid on this poster thinking it is 27" x 41". Also note that this poster was never machine folded. Most movie posters from before 1980 were machine folded immediately after printing, but a very few were left unfolded. An unfolded poster from before 1980 is almost always far more difficult to find than a folded poster of the same title, and finding unfolded posters in excellent condition is even more difficult! Condition: very good to fine. There are a couple of tears in the right blank border and some minor creases throughout the poster. Overall, the poster is in excellent condition! This week we have given a more detailed overall condition grade along with more details about the condition described in words. Of course, we could not describe every single defect, plus there are some defects (like creasing, tape on the back, extremely tiny pinholes, etc) which can be VERY difficult to see, even in our largest "super-sized" image. Therefore we strongly recommend that you BOTH read our written description of the item, AND ALSO look at our super-sized image to see the extent of the defects that we describe and to examine the poster for minor defects that we did NOT describe.
