Dr. Seuss (born Theodor Seuss Geisel), was an American writer and cartoonist from 1927 to the 1990s. He was most widely known for his children's books, which he both wrote and illustrated. His works have spawned numerous adaptations, including 11 television specials, four feature films, a Broadway musical and four television series. Some of his books include: Green Eggs and Ham, The Cat in the Hat, and The Lorax. He passed away in 1991 at the age of 87.
