An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) A Daughter of the West, the circa 1918 silent cowboy western starring Edythe Sterling. Note that this is a very confusing title! We have a lobby card with this title that appears to be from the late 1910s or early 1920s, and it has no credits other than the lead actress, who is "Edythe Sterling". But that actress did not appear in a movie of this title, although she did make westerns at this time, and there is an odd gap in her filmography between 1917 and 1920, exactly when this movie may be from. To make things even MORE confusing, there IS a movie called "A Daughter of the West" from 1918, but that movie stars Leota Lorraine, a different actress (and it definitely does not appear that these two could be the same actress). It would seem the most likely explanation is that there were two different movies of this name, and that this is from the one that starred Edythe Sterling, but we can find no record of such a movie. If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Condition: very good.
