Date Sold 12/30/2018Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original 1960 (from the first release of this movie in Italy) Vintage Theatrical Folded Italian One-Panel (known in Italy as a "2 Fogli") Movie Poster (1p; measures 39" x 55" [99 x 140 cm]) (Learn More) La Nave de los Monstruos (released in the U.S. in 1961 as "The Ship of Monsters"), the 1960 Rogelio A. Gonzalez Mexican science fiction (sci-fi) outer space alien horror romantic comedy (two Venusian vampire women gather male alien species to revive their race, but on the way home they crash land in Mexico, where one woman falls in love and the other releases the aliens in an attempt to take over the world) starring Eulalio Gonzalez (billed as "Jose Gonzalez 'Piporro'"), Ana Bertha Lepe, Lorena Velazquez, Consuelo Frank, and Manuel Alvarado If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned this Italian one-panel! Not only that, the only Italian poster we have ever auctioned from this movie was a locandina, which we auctioned 8 years ago, and it was in "good" condition, and it auctioned for $75! Also note that the Italian poster artist seemed to borrow the monster on the poster from "The 7th Voyage of Sinbad" (and the Argentinean poster from this movie borrows an image from "Destination Moon"). Can anyone who has seen this movie tell us if these in any way relate to the movie, or if they are just very misleading images? If so, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Condition: fair to good. The poster is very fragile and has separation, tears, and some tiny paper loss on parts of many folds. The poster is in urgent need of expert professional restoration. But the poster is mostly "all there", and after linenbacking by a talented professional, the poster will look fantastic, and it will likely require little paint restoration within the image. Please do not bid on this poster unless you can accept its defects described above or are willing to pay to have them properly restored! Learn More about condition grades
