8 Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Cards (LCs; measure 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More)

Meet Boston Blackie "(of 'Get-Rich-Quick Wallingford' fame)", the 1941 Robert Florey Massachusetts New York City spy detective mystery crime thriller ("Mystery over Coney Island!"; "Spies in a freak show!"; "Murder in the 'Tunnel of Love'!"; "Story and Screen Play by Jay Dratler") starring Chester Morris (in the title role as Boston Blackie), Rochelle Hudson, Richard Lane, Charles Wagenheim, Constance Worth, Thelma Joel (as the Bat Woman!), and Schlitze (best known for his role in Freaks; as Princess Betsy/Bird Woman; when Schlitze was in Barnum's freak show, he wore a dress-like garment and was called a woman, and that continued in this movie). Note that this is one of fourteen movies made in the 1940s with Chester Morris playing the fictional character "Boston Blackie", a former crook turned detective (there had been ten silent movies made in the 1920s), all of which were based on short stories by Jack Boyle. Note that this was the first of the series, and Columbia did not expect big things from it, so they only created a two-color one-sheet on its first release!

Important Added Info: Note that four of these cards measure slightly less than 11" x 14" and have been trimmed (see below).

Condition: good. Four cards have been trimmed along the right and lower edge. Each card has several pinholes around the edges (with some scattered within various areas of the image and several torn or enlarged due to rough removal) and many scuff marks, smudges and/or creases scattered throughout. The title card has faint stains scattered along the left edge (with a few in Hudson's face).
