An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Style B Three-Sheet Movie Poster (3sh; measures 40" x 76 3/4" [102 x 195 cm]) (Learn More) Bathing Beauty, the 1944 George Sidney romantic aquatic swimming musical comedy ("M-G-M's mammoth Technicolor musical spectacle!") starring Red Skelton, Esther Williams, Basil Rathbone, Bill Goodwin, Ethel Smith, Jean Porter, Carlos Ramirez, Harry James & His Music Makers, Helen Forrest, Xavier Cugat & His Orchestra, and Lina Romay. Note that this was Esther Williams' first movie that focused on her great athletic swimming ability, and she was basically the star of the movie, even though she was second billed to much bigger star Red Skelton (and she was primarily the focus of all the movie advertising). NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster has been trimmed and it now measures 40" x 76 3/4" [102 x 195 cm]. Also note that this three-sheet was printed in the United States for use at theaters with Spanish speaking audiences (this was done most by MGM, starting in the 1930s, but it was done by the other major studios as well, and often the posters would have the exact same image as the English language poster, except the writing would be in Spanish, and on posters from the 1930s and 1940s there would be an added "Toda en Espanol!", meaning "Entirely in Spanish!", printed within the image). Sometimes posters from the 1960s or later will have the word "SPANISH" printed in the bottom border (or sometimes stamped on the back of the poster). Also note that this three-sheet was printed in 2 sections designed to overlap. Finally, note that the theater that used this poster glued the pieces together before putting them on display (this is typical of many actual theater-used posters in multiple pieces). Condition: fair. The theater that used this poster glued the pieces together before putting them on display (this is typical of many actual theater-used posters in multiple pieces).
