An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4") (Learn More) The Dancing Girl, the 1915 Allan Dwan silent London England dancer romantic melodrama ("Daniel Frohman present Florence Reed in the famous, emotional drama The Dancing Girl By Henry Arthur Jones"; about a small town girl who goes to the big city, becomes a dancer, and meets a duke, but her father curses her for leaving, which apparently causes her to fall down a flight of stairs) starring Florence Reed (in the title role as Drusilla Ives; in her first movie role!), Fuller Mellish, Lorraine Huling, Malcolm Williams, and William Russell. Note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: The slide does not have a cardboard holder, but rather there is black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of older glass slides. When we auction slides that have a cardboard holder, we provide a separate image of how the cardboard holder looks, but when we auction slides with the black tape (like this one) we only provide the scan of the glass slide image, because that really is about all there is to see.
