Date Sold 10/5/2014Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10 1/4" [20 x 26 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Captain Thunder, the 1930 Alan Crosland south-of-the-border Mexico romantic costumed hero adventure melodrama starring Fay Wray, Victor Varconi (in the title role as El Capitan Thunder), Charles Judels, Robert Elliott, and Bert Roach. Note that this movie was made right after "In Old Arizona" won a Best Actor Academy Award for Warner Baxter, and this apparently was an attempt to cash in on that success, with a very similar plot, and the lead character even wears a costume just like The Cisco Kid! But Victor Varconi was a Hungarian actor portraying a Mexican cowboy, and he sounded more like Bela Lugosi, and the movie was very forgettable (and has been totally forgotten)! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this still measures 8" x 10 1/4" [20 x 26 cm]. Condition: very good. There are remnants of brown paper tape on the back of three corners. There is a small circular faint brown stain in the top center. Learn More about condition grades
