He was signed by Samuel Goldwyn in 1943 when he was 18, and he had two significant roles, but then joined the army. After getting out of the army, he made They Live By Night for Nicholas Ray, and he had great success with Rope and Strangers on a Train, both for Alfred Hitchcock. In 1954, he starred in Senso in Italy for Visconti. He moved to New York, where he spent the next 13 years on TV and on Broadway. He then returned to Italy and made a series of films there. He passed away in 2011 at the age of 85. Important Added Info: This index card has been personally autographed (signed) by Farley Granger! It is matted together with a REPRODUCTION photo, and the entire display is ready to frame and hang on the wall! Our consignor is a longtime collector who purchased this signed item from a reputable dealer. He does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we believe the signature to likely be authentic.
