An Original Vintage Theatrical Autographed 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Esther Williams was a former swimming and diving champion, who became an extremely popular actress from the 1940s to the 1960s, often, but not always, in MGM movies that showcased her swimming talents. Some of her movies include: Million Dollar Mermaid, Take Me Out to the Ball Game, Dangerous When Wet, and Jupiter's Darling. She passed away in 2013 at the age of 91. Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by Esther Williams! Our consignor was a good friend of Jim Bawden, who, for many years, was the main movie reviewer for the Toronto Daily Star newspaper. Mr. Bawden passed away recently and our consignor purchased these from his estate. He does not have a certificate of authenticity, but given that we know that Mr. Bawden became person friends with many celebrities (and the inscription on this photo is personalized to him), we are certain the signature on this photo is authentic (and the same is true of the other photos from this estate we were consigned). As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. On non-signed items, we give a "lifetime guarantee" on everything we auction, but on signed items, we give the above modified guarantee of 30 days after the auction closes.
