An Original Vintage Souvenir Program Book (measures 9 1/4" x 12 1/4" [23 x 31 cm]; 32 pages) (Learn More)

Tulare Theatre was a motion picture theater from 1927 to 1975. The theater was located in Tulare (Northern California), and in addition to feature films, there were vaudeville shows every Sunday night and Mickey Mouse Club programs followed by children's matinees on Saturdays. During the 1960s the theater was under competition from television, and began to lose it's grandeur and respect. The theater closed in 1975, was condemned due to failure to meet the earthquake code, and was demolished in 1980.
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this program is from when this theater first opened, and its first attraction was a play, "Castles in the Air", and then it also showed movies, including Rin-Tin-Tin in "Hills of Kentucky" and Joan Crawford in "The Understanding Heart".

Note that we have pictured the front cover and one or more interior 2-page spreads from this program. You can use these images to determine the exact condition of it from our super-sized image, but realize that there are some other pages you are not seeing.

Condition: good to very good. There is small paper loss in the top blank area of the front and back covers, but it does not affect the interior pages, which are slightly smaller.
