An Original Undated (probably 1950s; from the first Japanese release of this movie) Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Japanese Movie Poster (measures 20" x 28 1/2") (Learn More) Each Dawn I Die, the 1939 William Keighley newspaper journalism jail prison convict crime thriller ("From a Novel by Jerome Odlum"; James Cagney is a crusading journalist who ends up in jail with hardened convict George Raft) starring James Cagney, George Raft, Jane Bryan, George Bancroft, Maxie 'Slapsie Maxie' Rosenbloom, Stanley Ridges, Victor Jory, Emma Dunn, Edward Pawley, and Willard Robertson NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good. The poster was folded once in each direction, and there was a fine line of uneven tiny surface paper loss in the horizontal foldline, and a few dots of tiny paper loss in the vertical foldline. There were some very tiny tears in the borders. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was well backed, but the restorer left alone the tiny surface paper loss on the foldlines (it truly isn't distracting, and any restorer could easily touch it up without re-backing the poster).
