An Undated (probably 1980s) Re-Release Vintage Theatrical Swiss Lobby Card (LC; measures 15 3/4" x 20" [40 x 51 cm]) (Learn More) Touch of Evil, the classic 1958 Orson Welles Mexico drugs crooked policeman revenge crime film noir thriller ("The story of the strangest vengeance ever planned!"; based on the novel 'Badge of Evil' by Whit Masterson) starring Charlton Heston, Janet Leigh, Orson Welles, Joseph Calleia, Akim Tamiroff, Marlene Dietrich ("She felt his touch - once, and never forgot it!"), Zsa Zsa Gabor (Dietrich & Gabor billed as "'With Guest Stars' Marlene Dietrich, Zsa Zsa Gabor"), Joanna Moore, Akim Tamiroff, Valentin de Vargas, and Victor Millan. Note that this movie was re-released in 1998, finally re-edited to satisfy the changes Orson Welles requested in a memo he wrote to the studio right after its first release when he found out the film had been cut. It took 40 years, but Welles' original vision was mostly restored. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this Swiss lobby card (which comes from a 1980s "Marlene Dietrich Festival" in Switzerland) measures 15 3/4" x 20" [40 x 51 cm]. Also note that this Swiss lobby card was made by the distributor creating a set of identical stiff board printed backings with printed information about the movie, with a blank space for a still, and then they would attach a number of original U.S. stills to those boards, thus creating a set of Swiss lobby cards. Note that the board has metal grommets inserted into each corner, to make displaying of this Swiss lobby card far easier. Condition: good to very good. The card has pinholes around the edges. It had light water staining in the right of the bottom border and in part of the right border, and it has a small stamp at the bottom right edge of the photo, and in the background. It has pieces of Velcro attached to the back that allowed it to be attached to a felt wall. Learn More about condition grades
