Not only was this short re-edited and re-worked into the 1954 short "Scotched in Scotland", but it was also remade the following year as "Hot Ice". NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that ANY movie paper items from this movie are incredibly rare. We have only previously auctioned a scene lobby card, a title lobby card (17 years ago) and a one-sheet from this movie (and NO other movie paper of any kind), and that title card from 17 years ago has now been reconsigned to us, so this is still the only example of the title card we have ever auctioned! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Note that this lobby card has been paperbacked. What is paperbacking? This means the lobby card was backed onto a heavy paper backing (acid-free), that is similar in feel to that of the original lobby card (except somewhat heavier). It is a similar process to linenbacking, except that most collectors use linenbacking for one-sheets and paperbacking for half-sheets, inserts, window cards, and lobby cards. Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. What IS paperbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: fair to good. Prior to paperbacking, the card was cut horizontally below the title all the way from left to right. The part of the bottom area was saved, but the bottom of the lower left image was completely missing and had to be recreated. There was also paper loss along the area where the card was cut. There were also staple holes, stains, and a few tears around the edges of the rest of the card and a few stains scattered in the card. Overall, the lobby card was in fair condition prior to paperbacking. Given its major defects, the restorer did a pretty good job, but you can clearly see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. Please do not bid unless you can accept the substantial restoration this card has had, and look closely at our super-sized images. Learn More about condition grades
