Date Sold 2/2/2010Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Three-Sheet Movie Poster (3sh; measures 41" x 81") (Learn More) Trouble in Texas, the 1937 Robert N. Bradbury cowboy western starring Tex Ritter (in his fourth movie; "with His Horse 'White Flash'"), Rita Hayworth (billed under her real name of "Rita Cansino"), Yakima Canutt, Glenn Strange, Bob Crosby, and The Texas Tornados NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that in the mid-1940s, after Rita Hayworth became a major star, somebody had the cleverness to re-release this 1937 Tex Ritter western, which included a minor role for Rita Hayworth, who was then Rita Cansino, as a "new" Rita Hayworth movie, giving her giant top billing, a huge image, and a credit as "The Dancing Senorita". We have previously sold the one-sheet from the 1937 first release, and it does not show Rita Hayworth or credit her, and we mistakenly thought that she did not appear on any of the original posters. But the discovery of this three-sheet shows that the poster artist had the good sense to include great artwork of the pretty young girl in the top right corner, thus possibly making this the earliest artwork of Rita Hayworth on any poster (although she is not credited!). Also note that this three-sheet was printed in 2 sections. Condition: good. There are creases and tiny tears on many foldlines and separation and tiny paper loss at some crossfolds. There are some creases, smudges, tiny tears, faint water stains, and many pinholes in the borders. There are a few of tape repairs on the back of the poster. Learn More about condition grades
