Dust Be My Destiny, the 1939 Lewis Seiler lovers-on-the-run romantic crime melodrama ("Nobodies on the road to nowhere!"; "Drama... excitement... suspense... intrigue!"; "John Garfield Priscilla Lane in a drama more thrilling than 'I Am A Fugitive'"; "From a novel by Jerome Odlum"; "Screen Play by Robert Rossen"; about a young man who keeps getting in trouble, and he ends up on a prison farm, and he falls in love with the foreman's daughter, and naturally, the father hates that idea, and they get in a fight, and the old man has a heart attack and dies, so the lovers go on the run, because they know no one will believe they didn't kill her father) starring John Garfield, Priscilla Lane, Alan Hale Sr., Frank McHugh, Billy Halop, Bobby Jordan (two of the original "Dead End Kids" in a rare appearance without the others!), John Litel, Charley Grapewin, and Henry Armetta

Important Added Info: Note that this still appears in every way to be original U.S. release EXCEPT that there is one very tiny line of French type in the lower left. It reads, "IMPRIME AUX ETATS-UNIS D'AMERIQUE". It seems reasonable that this movie might have been one of the very first U.S. movies released in France after it was liberated from the Germans, and so this still is likely from that very first French release, perhaps in 1947, when the movie was re-released in the U.S. Please do not bid on this still unless you have carefully read the above! If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Also note that this still measures 8" x 10 1/4".

Condition: very good to fine.
