Le Plaisir (released in English-speaking countries under its original French title and as "House of Pleasure"), the 1952 (released in the U.S in 1954) Max Ophuls French romantic comedy melodrama ("Three intimate tales about people who live the way people shouldn't!!!"; based on three stories by Guy de Maupassant; the film had three separate segments, each with a different cast) starring Claude Dauphin, Gaby Morlay, Madeleine Renaud, Ginette Leclerc, Mila Parely, Danielle Darrieux, Pierre Brasseur, Jean Gabin, Paulette Dubost, Jean Servais, Daniel Gelin, and Simone Simon

Important Added Info: Note that this is a "country of origin" lobby card for this French movie, and that it was created on a heavy board (this is how it was made), and it is not mounted to the board but is actually printed on the board. Also note that these French lobby cards measure 11 3/4" x 15 1/2" [30 x 39 cm].

Note that this item (and others we are auctioning in this set of auctions) come to us from the estate of Lee Sanders. Mr. Sanders was a nationally recognized projectionist, film poster collector, and union activist who passed away earlier this year, and the net proceeds from the sale of his varied and eclectic collection will be donated to promote film studies at the Besant School of Happy Valley in Ojai, Ca.

Condition: good. There are many pinholes and some smudges around the edges. There are a few scuffs in the images.
