An Original Vintage Tri-Folded Billboard Advertising Poster (measures approximately 9' x 20') (Learn More) Coca-Cola (Coke) is a carbonated beverage that was created in 1886 by Colonel John Pemberton. At that time, Coca-Cola's two main ingredients were cocaine and caffeine, and it was initially marketed as a tonic that could cure morphine addiction, dyspepsia, neurasthenia, headache, and impotence. Today, Coca-Cola is a world-wide corporation and the soft drink (and many other beverages under the Coca-Cola brand name) can be found in every corner of the globe. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this billboard poster was printed in 15 sections designed to overlap. Also note that this poster was tri-folded only (which means there is no vertical machine fold) but because it would be more expensive to send flat, it will be sent rolled in a tube. Note that this item needs to be shipped in an oversized flat package. Most of these items absolutely can only be sent in flat packages, and could not possibly be rolled into a tube. Some of them might SEEM like they could be rolled in a tube, like a half-sheet, but they can't. The reason these items are in this auction is specifically because they CAN'T be rolled (because rolling any of them would damage them, even if they somehow can be rolled). So please bear in mind that this item must be sent in a LARGE flat package (the size of the package will depend on the size of the item when ready for shipping), and bear this added expense in mind before placing a bid on it. Condition: poor. As can be seen in our image the poster is in much lesser condition. The billboard was exposed to moisture at one time which has caused substantial water staining and deterioration and paper loss along the foldlines and edges (see our image).
