Of course, all movie buffs are familiar with the classic movie adaptation of this play that was done in 1955, but many do not realize that not only had Fonda previously starred in this role on Broadway, but that it was at one time one of the longest running non-musical plays ever on Broadway, and that Fonda played the role for four consecutive years!
