Norddeutscher Lloyd (known in English as North German Lloyd) was a German shipping company which was founded by Hermann Henrich Meier and Eduard Crusemann in Bremen, Germany in 1857. It developed into one of the most important German shipping companies of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, and was instrumental in the economic development of Bremen and Bremerhaven. In 1970, the company merged with Hamburg America Line (HAPAG) to form Hapag-Lloyd AG.

Condition: fair. There are several tears and areas of paper loss around the edges of the poster with some repaired with tape from the back. There is a label on the back of the poster at upper left but it does not appear to have any effect on the front.
