Rocky Marciano Vs. Archie Moore, the 1955 boxing sports documentary ("Exclusive!: See it now on film! action thrills in slow motion!"; "Official heavyweight championship fight films released through United Artists") featuring Rocky Marciano (billed as "Rocky Marciano Champion") and Archie Moore (billed as "Archie Moore Challenger"). This was to be Marciano's last title fight before retiring, which he won with a knockout in the ninth round! If anyone knows more about this poster, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare poster. We have only auctioned one in all our years of auctioning and that was in 2014! Note that this is one of a collection of 6 one-sheets from film versions of professional boxing matches! In the days before such events moved to network television, top boxing matches would be filmed at ringside and then shown later in movie theaters, complete with commentary. Such posters are far more rare than posters from movies. Our consignor collected these six over many years, and they are being offered in 6 separate auctions. This is a rare opportunity to acquire any or all of these 6 posters!

Condition: good to very good. The poster has some creases and a small tear at upper left that has been repaired with tape from the back. It has some creases and scuffs scattered in various areas and some fold and border wear. After linenbacking the very rare poster will display well!
