Paulin") French family relationship romantic melodrama (about an old sailor who has a young son, and he hopes that he will come to work with him, but the son goes to the city, and the father is very sad, and the son's teacher goes off in search of him) starring Antonin Berval (billed as "Berval"), Edouard Delmont (billed as "Delmont"), Gerard Landry, Janine Darcey, Robert Lynen, and Mila Parely. Also note that we feel certain that this poster is from the first French release in 1942. We have only auctioned one other French poster from this movie (another example of this poster). Note that this is an extremely rare French poster from World War II! Virtually no French posters survive from the mid 1940s or earlier. Apparently there were many paper shortages in France during World War II, resulting in the destruction of almost all posters from before World War II, and also from during the war, and the first few years afterwards! The poster had small paper loss at some crossfolds and some creases, tears, darkening, and tiny paper loss on parts of some folds.
