An Original Vintage Movie Script (measures 8 1/2" x 11" [22 x 28 cm], 116 pages) (Learn More)

The Enchanted Cottage, the classic 1945 John Cromwell fantasy romantic melodrama ("Based on the Play by Sir Arthur Wing Pinero"; "The whole town whispered about these two!"; "While others whispered 'Scandal' their hearts found the miracle of love!"; "The lovers of 'Claudia'"; "Hiding from prying eyes in an enchanted refuge... daring to live as they have dreamed... sharing an adventure in ecstasy!"; "Back in that strange world called 'Home' a pilot finds his dreams are shattered... a girl despairs of ever being adored... 'til they meet by a miracle of love and keep a rendezvous with rapture!"; about two 'ugly' people who find a magical cottage where they look 'normal'; the studio copped out by not having the stars look very "ugly" before they transform, so much of the point of the movie is diluted!) starring Dorothy McGuire, Robert Young (McGuire and Young are billed as "the Lovers of 'Claudia'"), Herbert Marshall, Mildred Natwick, Spring Byington, Hillary Brooke, and Richard Gaines

Important Added Info: Note that this script is from November 28, 1944 and the screenplay was written by DeWitt Bodeen. The script was the personal copy of screenwriter DeWitt Bodeen, who had this script professionally bound with a hardcover binding, and he autographed the first page of the script. We are auctioning this script along with three other hard bound scripts that also were Mr. Bodeen's personal copy.

Condition: very good. The hardcovers are scuffed, more so around the edges and on the spine. The interior pages have slightly darkened around the edges, but they are not fragile and are otherwise in nice condition!
