Star Wars (now known as "Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope"), the classic 1977 George Lucas (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film) outer space fantasy action adventure science fiction (sci-fi) epic ("A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away..."; "George Lucas, the man who brought you American Graffiti now brings you an adventure as big as the cosmos itself: Star Wars, the story of a boy, a girl, and a universe. It's a spectacle light years ahead of its time from 20th Century Fox."; "Written and Directed by George Lucas"; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award) starring Mark Hamill (as Luke Skywalker), Harrison Ford (as Han Solo), Carrie Fisher (as Princess Leia), Peter Cushing (as Grand Moff Tarkin), Alec Guinness (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film; as Obi-Wan Kenobi), Anthony Daniels (as C-3PO), James Earl Jones (as the voice of Darth Vader), David Prowse (billed as "Dave Prowse"; as the man inside the Darth Vader suit!), Peter Mayhew (as Chewbacca), Kenny Baker (as R2-D2), and Phil Brown (as Uncle Owen)

Important Added Info: Note that these oversized stills (which measure 16 3/4" x 20" [43 x 51 cm]) are ones we have never seen before, and are somewhat of a mystery! We have seen oversized stills for Star Wars from 1977 which measure exactly 16" x 20", which is the standard size for oversized stills like these, and those are on regular photographic paper. But THESE oversized stills are on heavy boards, and they measure slightly larger (16 3/4"), and they have the "slugs" (the printed information on the bottom of the stills), which is only seen on some of the 8x10s and 11x14s. These were consigned to us from a poster exchange which surely received them in 1977, and we feel that they are a special promotional item that was created by the studio at that time. Perhaps they were intended to be displayed on the walls of poster exchanges. The color in these is clearly muted, and we don't know if they were created that way, or perhaps they WERE displayed for a long time, which lightened the color. If anyone knows more about these, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

Condition: very good. The stills are on heavy boards, and we believe they surely were created that way. The color in these is clearly muted, and we don't know if they were created that way (see above). The one with Hamill in the landspeeder has faint smudges at top center. Otherwise, they are in nice condition and will look great on the new owner's wall!
