Todd. Note that producer David O. Selznick was certain that Ingrid Bergman would be a huge star when he signed her to a contract in 1938, having seen her Swedish movies. To play it safe, for her first U.S. movie, he chose to re-make one of her earlier Swedish successes, "Intermezzo", which she had made in 1936 with an all-Swedish cast, in Swedish of course.
