The Star Boarder, the 1919 Larry Semon silent prison convict comedy short starring Larry Semon (in the title role as Star Boarder/Little Joe, the escaped convict), Lucille Carlisle, Frank Alexander, William Hauber, Chai Hong, Snooky (billed as "Snooky the Humanzee"), and Norma Shearer (17 years old, uncredited in her first movie role!)

Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare poster. We have never auctioned one in all our years of auctioning! Note also that this Italian one-sheet measures 27" x 39 1/4" [69 x 100 cm]. Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube.

Condition: good. The poster has substantial darkening, creases, defects, areas of paper loss and tears of varying lengths around the edges (see our image). The right blank border has been trimmed. There are some tears along portions of the vertical foldline and there is some separation and paper loss in the upper two crossfolds. There are two tax stamps at right. Fortunately the majority of the art of the very rare poster is intact and after proper restoration it will display well, but bear in mind the poster's condition and the cost of restoration before bidding on it.
