She started acting in 1936 at the age of 11, and she was billed under her real name of Joan Brodel, and she sang and danced, and she did not get to use those talents in enough of her movies. She had her breakthrough in 1941 in High Sierra with Humphrey Bogart, and she was Joan Leslie from then on! Some of her other movies include: Yankee Doodle Dandy, Repeat Performance, and Sergeant York. She passed away in 2015 at the age of 90. Our consignor is a longtime collector who purchased this signed item from a reputable dealer. He does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we believe the signature to likely be authentic.
