An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Arizona Bound, the 1927 John Waters silent cowboy western ("Story by Richard Allen Gates"; young Gary Cooper plays a cowboy who cares about his horse and a pretty girl, in that order, but she doesn't think much of him, because he has no ambition, but after he stops gold robbers and saves her from being kidnapped, he wins both a reward and her love) starring Gary Cooper, Betty Jewel, El Brendel, Jack Dougherty, Christian J. Frank, and Charles Crockett. Note that Cooper had had a succession of bit parts before having a small but good supporting role in "The Winning of Barbara Worth" (starring Ronald Colman and Vilma Banky) the year before this movie, and someone at Paramount saw that movie and wisely saw the great potential in him, and signed him to star in this movie, and he was super well received! That same year, he also had a tiny role in "It", and an important small role in "Wings", and he quickly became a major star, but this was his very first starring role. Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: good to very good. There are a few tiny white dot paint stains in the woman's chest, and a lesser amount near the center of Cooper's hat. There are a few faint smudges around the edges and a pinhole in each corner. Someone glued several ads for Greyhound buses and similar images to the back of the card, but they do not affect the front of the card. Otherwise, the card is in nice condition.
