An Original Vintage Unfolded Music Performance Window Card Poster (WC; measures 14" x 22" [36 x 56 cm]) (Learn More) Louis Armstrong (also known as Satchmo or Pops) was a legendary jazz trumpeter, singer and actor from the 1910s to the 1970s. Some of his songs include: Mack the Knife, Hello Dolly, and St. Louis Blues. He had a memorable acting role in the movie "Hello, Dolly!". He passed away in 1971 at the age of 69. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that it is very difficult to date this window card, even though it says "Tues. July 18", because that date and day fell in many decades, and Armstrong performed from the 1920s to the 1960s. But based on research we did, we think this window card dates from 1961, because there was a Tuesday, July 18 in that year, and we found a reference to Armstrong playing at Dunn's Pavilion (which was a famous Canadian nightclub for 89 years) "in the early 1960s", and it would make sense that they would charge $3 per person in 1961. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Condition: good. The card was never folded, but someone handled it roughly, and there are partial creases and many scuffs scattered through the bottom half of the card, with a lesser number in the top half (see our image).
