Strayer family relationship bumbling father comedy ("The most lovable family that ever stole your heart away!"; "Out of the 'funnies'... straight into your heart!"; "Based upon the comic strip created by Chic Young"; the very first of the highly successful series of "Blondie" movies) starring Penny Singleton (in the title role as Blondie), Arthur Lake (as Dagwood Bumstead), Larry Simms (as Baby Dumpling), Gene Lockhart, Willie Best, and Daisy the Dog (a dog named Spooks that was renamed Daisy after the comic strip dog, and this was her debut; she appeared in all the Blondie movies and also a number of other movie until she retired in 1951!)
