An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Window Card Movie Poster (WC; measures 14" x 17 1/2" [36 x 44 cm]) (Learn More) A Patch of Blue, the 1966 Guy Green interracial romantic melodrama ("A man... a girl... captives in their own worlds... finding escape in each other..."; "Based on 'Be Ready with Bells & Drums' by Elizabeth Kata"; "Written for the screen and directed by Guy Green"; about a black man who starts a relationship with a blind white girl) starring Sidney Poitier, Shelley Winters (winner of the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film), Elizabeth Hartman (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), Wallace Ford, and Ivan Dixon NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: The window card originally had a blank top that was neatly trimmed off (this was commonly done with window cards, when the top had been left blank, or when someone had hand-scrawled play date information in that area). Most collectors do not consider it to be a significant defect at all, since only blank white paper is lost, and the window card becomes easier to frame. Also note that the window card was folded across the center at one time. Because the foldline is such that it has diminished over time, we don't want to re-fold the window card prior to mailing, because we believe that re-folding the window card would lessen its condition (we never roll window cards into a tube). If you specifically request it, we will re-fold this window card, but you will not be able to return it. Condition: good. Learn More about condition grades
