An Original Vintage Theatrical Paperbacked Half-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 22" x 28") (Learn More) Rockin' in the Rockies, the 1945 Vernon Keays cowboy western musical comedy ("It's the peak of action musical entertainment!"; "You'll rock! You'll roar! You'll ask for more!"; "Action stars! Radio stars! Screen stars! Comedy stars! Rodeo stars!"; "It's the happiest ACTION MUSICAL hit of 'em all!") starring The Three Stooges (Moe Howard, Larry Fine, and Curly Howard), Mary Beth Hughes, The Hoosier Hotshots (Ken Trietsch, Paul Trietsch, Charles Ward, and Gil Taylor), Jay Kirby, Vernon Dent, Bill George, Gladys Blake, Tim Ryan, Spade Cooley ("King of Western Swing"; as himself, with his band), and the Cappy Barra Boys NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this half-sheet pictures The Three Stooges in the lower left in a comical image with Moe pointing a gun at Curly! Condition: fine. This poster was paperbacked and during the backing process, its extremely minor defects were repaired and it now looks really great! We only assigned this grade ("fine") to posters that were in really excellent condition prior to paperbacking, AND which were paperbacked by a top professional! The poster had rough creases along both foldlines and some light creases and scuffs throughout the image. There was some paper loss at the ends of the foldlines in the blank borders, and pinholes and other relatively minor border defects. The person who did the restoration put new blank white paper over all the borders to even out the appearance (but the small writing at the bottom of the poster was not covered over). This is a common technique used by several top restorers. It is done so well that the majority of collectors are not even aware it has been done, and many do not feel it to be a significant detraction (since it is only blank white area). Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to paperbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well! Learn More about condition grades
