Columbia's Golden Celebration, the 1974 Columbia Studios special poster ("50 year retrospective"; "Golden classics of the silver screen") advertising a retrospective of some of Columbia's best movies of the past 50 years, including "It Happened One Night"; "Mr. Deeds Goes to Town"; "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington"; "His Girl Friday"; "From Here to Eternity"; "On The Waterfront"; "Bridge on the River Kwai"; "Dr. Strangelove"; "The Professionals"; and "Funny Girl". If anyone knows more about this poster, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

Important Added Info: Note that this is a "stock" poster created by Columbia for use for all entries of their "Columbia's Golden Celebration" series. Theaters would order this poster, which had a large blank rectangle at the bottom. They would be sent a series of large paper snipes with the titles of specific entries of the series, and they could paste in each snipe as needed, thus getting many posters for the price of one. Sometimes stock posters are found with blank snipe areas. Most collectors consider them more valuable with a printed snipe attached. This particular poster has a blank snipe area.

Condition: good. There is some uneven discoloration throughout the poster.
