An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Any Wife, the 1922 Herbert Brenon silent family relationship infidelity divorce romantic melodrama (about a bored housewife who has an affair, and her husband catches her and divorces her, and she loses custody of their child, and she marries her lover and becomes very depressed and there is a scene where she commits suicide by jumping from a bridge, but it turns out that everything to that point was only a bad dream, and she realizes she should be a better wife!) starring Pearl White (famous star of the most memorable silent serial, "The Perils of Pauline"), Holmes Herbert, Gilbert Emery, Lawrence Johnson, and Augustus Balfour. Note that Pearl White had injured her back in her last adventure serial, which led her to sign a deal with William Fox to appear in melodramas like this one. But the audiences didn't really care for her in these movies, and she returned to make one final serial and then retired. Also note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Condition: very good to fine.
