An Original Vintage Unfolded Music Radio Station Poster (measures 29 1/2" x 45" [75 x 114 cm]) (Learn More)

WNEW AM 1130, the 1980s radio poster ("Blessed with America's Best") featuring artwork of Louis Armstrong. WNEW was founded in 1934 and was known for its popular adult music selection as well as its staff of radio personalities. In 1935, WNEW pioneered the concept of a disc jockey when staff announcer Martin Block needed to fill time between news bulletins, and played records instead of the usual live orchestra. The station shut down in 1992.

Condition: good to very good. The poster has some slight discoloration on back of the lower half and some of that affects the art of Armstrong's shirt (see our image).
