A 1956 Re-Release Vintage Theatrical Folded Italian One-Panel (known in Italy as a "2 Fogli") Movie Poster (1p; measures 39" x 55" [99 x 140 cm]) (Learn More)

Prelude a la gloire (released in English-speaking countries as "Prelude to Glory"), the 1950 Georges Lacombe French music prodigy melodrama (loosely based on the real life piano playing child prodigy, Roberto Benzi, and he plays himself, although the film states that it is not his actual biography!) starring Roberto Benzi, Jean Debucourt, Paul Bernard, Robert Pizani, and Louise Conte. Note that the real life child prodigy played himself, and the cinematography is by Claude Renoir, and they both contribute to the success of the movie.
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
Artist: A. Kremos
Important Added Info: Note that the IMDb says that this movie was released in Italy in 1951 (one year after it was made), but we have seen two different Italian one-panels, and one is dated 1955 and one is dated 1956, so it seems more likely it was first released in Italy in 1955 and then re-released the following year. That would make the IMDb wrong, which has been known to happen, but if they are right, then this poster is a 1956 re-release. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

Condition: very good to fine.
