UPDATED 08/17/2023: Note that we have updated the Condition information. What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster had extra folds near to the regular vertical ones, with some tiny tears and tiny areas of paper loss on parts of the folds. The poster was overprinted in the bottom blank area (which was originally yellow) with the following words "PLUS! Those BOWERY BOYS" and then images of Huntz Hall and Leo Gorcey with a small "You'll die laughing" next to that, and then "LOOKING FOR DANGER" to the right of that. That area of the poster was later painted over with white paint. We imagine that the poster originally had a bottom blank area, for theaters that played this movie as part of a double-bill, and that it was first overprinted for the double-bill and then later painted over when the movie was shown without that second feature. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects, and the restorer left alone the painted over area at bottom.
