We have only auctioned five of them in the past 18 years, and we have not auctioned this poster at all in 7 years, and that poster was in much lesser condition! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: fair to good. The poster was never machine folded, but it had many rough horizontal creases scattered throughout, with some scuffs, tears, and tiny paper loss on some of the folds. It had some tears and stains around the edges. Overall, the poster was in fair condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, and backing it has reduced how noticeable the above many defects are, and while the poster displays pretty well from a distance, the defects are still quite noticeable from close up. Note that after the poster was backed, it was roughly handled, and there is now a slightly diagonal vertical crease down the right 2-3" of the poster, which caused additional scuffing down the right edge of the image (and it is also in the linen itself).
