Balderston from the play by Peggy Webling"; the first of the Universal "Frankenstein" movies, and regarded as one of the finer movies of any genre, in large part due to the marvelous acting of Boris Karloff, and the marvelous direction of James Whale!) starring Colin Clive (as Dr. Herbert V. Frankenstein), Boris Karloff (as the Frankenstein monster), Edward Van Sloan, Fredric Kerr, Mae Clarke, Dwight Frye (extremely memorable as Fritz), and John Boles NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this is a poster from the "S2 Art Group". This company bought 100 year-old lithograph presses, completely refurbished them, and recreated stone litho printing plates for classic movie posters (and in some cases making a stone litho version of a sters were originally printed, and exactly 27" x 41"! In some ways they are better, because they are printed on a much higher quality paper (similar to that of a 30x40, but somewhat heavier). These posters are printed a few at a time, and they retail for $325 each. Most of us could never hope to have the $100,000+ original of this poster, and this recreation is certainly an attractive and affordable alternative! IMPORTANT! Note that the S2 Art Group also has a lower quality 24" x 36" series of recreations that retail for $49 each. The recreation offered here is the 27" x 41" size with ultra high quality printing. Condition: fine. This poster is in quite nice condition (what many dealers would describe as "fine" or "near mint")! It MAY have some very minor defects, which are likely to be very noticeable in our "large" or "super-sized" images that you can click on from our small image at right. We feel that this poster would be acceptable to every collector! Note that we were extremely fussy about putting this grade on any posters from after 1975.
